The network takes shape

At first we thought of one ideal city. But while sparring, that turned out to be thinking too small. Why inflate one city to an unlivable size when you can build another next to it?
That is how the network came to be: several equal cities, each with its own character, separated by greenery and joined by a high-speed line. No capital, but each other's complement.
Later we discovered that Ebenezer Howard had thought of this back in 1898, his Social City. We had reinvented his model without knowing it, network and all.
